Fate went from a small railroad town to almost thirty thousand people in fifteen years, and most of those roofs went on at the same time. The hail on April 27, 2026 tested a lot of them. Whether you found shingles in the yard, a stain on the ceiling, or you simply want to know where your roof stands, start here.
Repairs, replacements, hail inspections and commercial roofs. Tell us what you noticed and we will take it from there.

Start here
Most roofs in Fate are the first roof the builder put on. The Williamsburg phases date from 2006, Woodcreek and Chamberlain Crossing came out of the same 1,700 acres Centex bought, and Monterra and Edgewater are newer still. That means a lot of roofs reaching ten, fifteen and twenty years within a few streets of each other, and a lot of neighbors getting the same knock on the door after every spring storm.
You do not have to decide anything from the driveway. A roof that took hail can often be repaired where it was hit. A roof that is worn across every slope is a different conversation, and we will say so. What you get from us is a straight look at the roof you have, an explanation in plain words, and a written scope you can compare.
If you already know what you need, pick the service below. If you only know something is wrong, send us the address and what you noticed, and we will start from there.

From one lifted shingle to a whole new roof, and from a leaking storefront to a maintenance plan for a new building.

Commercial roofingFrom the NOAA record
NOAA’s storm database holds reports of 1.5 to 2.75 inch hail in Fate that evening, 2 inch hail at Blackland and 1.75 inch hail just south of Rockwall. Hail that size bruises shingles and dents soft metal, and the damage does not always show from the street. If your roof has not been looked at since, these are the signs worth a walk around the house. Anything that looks like one of them is a reason to ask about hail and storm damage, and you can check your own date in the Fate storm history.

A little grit is normal. Piles of it after one storm mean the shingle surface took a beating.
Gutters, downspouts, vent caps and the AC unit’s fins dent at hail sizes that also bruise shingles. They are the easiest place to see a hail date from the ground.
A hail bruise is a soft, dark mark where granules were knocked loose. Several on one slope, all facing the same direction, is the pattern to look for.
Hail can crack a pipe boot or open a seam that only leaks in the next hard rain. A stain that appeared after April is worth tracing back to the roof.
NOAA reports are event start points near a reference coordinate, not a map of which roofs were damaged. A report close to your street does not prove damage, and a quiet record does not prove there was none.
Plan before you commit
Roof size and material set the number; the number of bedrooms does not. A typical two-story Fate home carries somewhere around 2,400 square feet of actual roof surface once you count the slopes, the garage and the covered porch.
These are Dallas-Fort Worth planning ranges for that roof, including ordinary tear-off. Use the roof cost calculator for your own measurements and materials.
Run the calculator for your roofArchitectural shingles · 2,400 sq. ft. of roof surface

Regional planning model, not a quote. Steep pitches, extra layers, damaged decking and tight access can move a proposal outside these ranges.
How we work
A roof decision should be made on what is actually up there, not on who knocked first. These are the habits that shape every request we handle.
If the problem is a pipe boot, a flashing joint or one slope of hail, that is what gets proposed. Replacement is the answer when the roof is worn everywhere, and we will show you why.
Tear-off, decking, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, the shingle product and color, and what is excluded. A number without a scope is not a price you can compare.
Sending a request is asking a question, not signing anything. Take the answer, compare it, and decide on your own calendar.
A retail roof with rooftop units and tenants below it is not a house. Drainage, equipment, hours and access are planned before the membrane is.
Owners and property managers
Lafayette Crossing at I-30 and FM 551, Fate Yards at Memorial Parkway, and more than 350 acres the City lists between I-30 and Highway 66 mean a lot of new low-slope roofs in the next few years, plus the older strip centers, churches and shops that were here first.
Flat roofs fail at the seams, the drains and the rooftop equipment long before the middle of the membrane wears out. Our commercial roofing section covers TPO, coatings, flat roof repair and maintenance plans, written for the person who has to keep the building open while the work happens.

Where we help
Fate sits between Rockwall and Royse City along Interstate 30 and Highway 66. The neighborhoods share a hail record and a builder-roof timeline, but each has its own association rules and its own age of roof. Pick yours for the details that matter on your street.
All Fate service areasYou can ask now and make the work decision after you know more.
The address, what changed and when. A storm date, a stain, shingles in the yard, or a roof you know is due. Photos help but are not required.
A roofer walks the roof, checks the attic when the evidence points inside, photographs what is found, and explains it in plain words: what needs doing now, what can wait, and what is fine.
You get a written scope with the materials, the work and the price. Compare it, ask questions, and choose the timing that fits your house and your budget.
Not by itself. Hail is uneven over a few hundred feet, roofs face different directions, and some of those roofs were already worn before the storm. What the neighborhood tells you is that your roof deserves a look. What the look tells you is whether it is a repair, a claim, or nothing. The repair or replace guide walks through the questions that settle it.
Yes, and usually small ones. On a builder roof the first things to go are details: a cracked rubber pipe boot, a nail that backed out, sealant at a wall flashing that dried and split, a ridge cap that lifted in a wind gust. None of those mean the roof is failing. They do mean a stain can show up on a young house, and a small repair is the right answer when it does.
For a typical two-story Fate home, the Dallas-Fort Worth planning ranges above are the honest starting point, and the roof cost calculator lets you enter your own footprint, pitch and material. A real number needs a measured roof and a written scope. Anyone who gives you a firm price from the street is guessing.
Send the address and what you noticed through the form, or call. Your request goes to an independent local roofer who looks at the roof and gives you a written scope. That is a conversation, not a contract. You decide whether, when and with whom the work happens.
